Be Strong and Courageous.
In this design we depict the mouse and encourage kids to be strong and courageous. Why the mouse, why not the lion?
The mouse was chosen because if you are large and strong it may seem easy to be strong and courageous, but many kids feel small and and might not FEEL very strong. If you think about the story of young mouse who was going to be eaten by the big strong lion, but bravely begged the lion to spare him by telling the lion someday maybe HE could help the lion in return. One day, that day came when the lion was caught in a hunters net. The mouse heard his cry and knew he had to keep his word. He tried hard and found that he could nibble his way through the cord and free the lion. The lion was forever grateful for the mouse’s fearlessness and courage. Strength isn’t always from your size but from the heart. The mouse and lion were friends from then on and the mouse is remembered for his courage, bravery and his Strong, kind heart.
